Marmomac 2026 brought about 50,000 professionals from 132 countries to Verona, Italy, as Veronafiere staged the natural stone and stone-technology fair's 60th edition on September 22–25. The final figures put international operators at 63% of attendance, with more than 1,300 exhibitors from 54 countries across 76,000 m².

The B2B programme scheduled more than 3,200 meetings, up from 2,200 in 2025. Organised with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Confindustria Marmomacchine, it hosted 450 buyers from 58 countries. For procurement teams planning the next sourcing cycle, the results offer a current view of where overseas buyer attendance was concentrated at Verona.

Final figures and international reach

The final exhibitor and country counts were lower than the approximately 1,400 exhibitors or brands and visitors from 140 countries cited in the pre-show Marmomac 2026 preview.

International operators accounted for 63% of attendees. During the show, organisers reported that 80% of visitors held direct purchasing-decision responsibility. Giovanni Sacripante, General Director of Veronafiere, described the opening signals as very positive, with visitor growth.

Country-level visitor growth versus 2025 was reported for Türkiye, up 20%, and India, up 16%. Those movements sit alongside the delegation data from the hosted-buyer programme, which identifies the markets that had a visible presence in the business meetings arranged at the fair.

B2B programme and buyer delegations

More than 3,200 scheduled B2B meetings marked a substantial increase from 2,200 in 2025. The programme's 450 hosted buyers came from 58 countries, giving exhibitors appointments across material supply, processing and technology discussions rather than relying solely on stand traffic.

Regional distribution of hosted buyers

  • Asia and the Middle East: 44.8%
  • Americas: 21.4%
  • Africa: 18.2%
  • Europe: 14.3%
  • Oceania: 1.3%

India led the country delegations at 9.1%, followed by the USA at 8.1%, Egypt at 7.3%, Canada at 6.8% and China at 6.3%. The distribution puts Asia and the Middle East, together with Africa, at the centre of hosted-buyer activity. It also confirms a meaningful North American presence for Italian processors, machinery makers and their export customers.

For materials teams, a scheduled meeting format can be useful when comparing supply routes, factory capability and finish availability. It does not replace slab inspection or production checks, but it concentrates initial commercial conversations within the fair dates.

Architecture, awards and sector context

Hall 10 was dedicated to natural stone in architecture, research and culture. The fair also presented the Masters of Stone 2026 awards and the Best Communicator Award 2026. These elements placed stone applications and communication alongside the supplier and machinery displays.

Italian sector data was presented during Marmomac, including H1 2026 export results. Buyers tracking Italian supply can place the fair's meetings alongside Italy's position as the No. 2 global stone exporter. A selection such as a Calacatta Gold marble slab still requires project-specific confirmation of block selection, finish and fabrication timing.

The next Marmomac edition is set for September 21–24, 2027, in Verona. Fixed dates give importers, fabricators and specification teams a defined window for arranging meetings and any related quarry or factory visits.

What it means for buyers

  • Asia and the Middle East and Africa held the largest shares of hosted-buyer delegations, with India and Egypt among the leading country groups; procurement teams may face stronger competition for premium Italian and Mediterranean material from those markets.
  • US and Canadian delegations represented 8.1% and 6.8% of the hosted-buyer total. Verona remains a place to meet Italian processors and machinery makers in person during the September window.
  • Plan quarry or factory visits and block-selection discussions around the fair dates when material decisions depend on viewing specific lots.
  • For the 2027 edition, September 21–24 is already fixed. Early budgeting can support meeting schedules and related travel arrangements.
