Kitchen Countertops & Islands
The kitchen is the industrial and emotional heart of any residential project. Selecting a surface material requires a deep understanding of mineral density, thermal resistance, and chemical stability. At StoneTrades, we leverage decades of factory experience to provide countertops that withstand the rigors of high-intensity culinary use.
Engineered for Performance: Quartz vs. Sintered Stone
While natural marble offers unparalleled beauty, high-traffic kitchens often demand the technical advantages of engineered surfaces. Our Summerly Quartz series is composed of 93% natural quartz crystals, bonded with high-performance resins to create a non-porous surface. This material carries a 15-year factory warranty and is virtually impervious to common household acids like vinegar or citrus.
Factory Insight: Sintered Slab ProcessingFor ultra-modern, heat-proof islands, we recommend our 12mm and 20mm Sintered Slabs. These are fired at 1200°C and processed with water pressure at 300-320 bar during fabrication. This ensures the slabs can handle direct contact with hot cookware without cracking or thermal shock.
Precision Fabrication & Customization
A countertop is only as good as its fabrication. We utilize CNC infrared cutting to achieve a ±0.5mm dimension tolerance. Our customization options include:
Sink Integration: Support for both undermount and top-mount sinks with precise CAD-driven cutouts.
Edge Profiling: From the minimalist Eased Edge to the monumental Mitered Waterfall, which creates a seamless flow from the counter to the floor.
Integrated Features: Pre-drilled faucet holes and drain grooves for a professional-grade finish.
Recommended Products for Kitchens
Explore our most durable and requested materials for countertop applications:
Athena Grey Marble - For a sophisticated, linear aesthetic (best in honed finish).
Fantasy Brown Dolomite - The perfect bridge between the beauty of marble and the hardness of quartzite.
Sintered Stone Velvet Series - For those seeking a matte, tactile surface with zero water absorption.
Maintenance & Professional Care
To preserve the factory-applied polish, we recommend pH-neutral cleaners. Avoid placing 300°C+ pots directly on quartz surfaces to prevent resin damage. For natural stone islands, our factory-applied anti-fouling treatment provides an initial 12-month barrier against staining.
