Staircase & Architectural Steps
A stone staircase is a permanent architectural monument. Beyond its structural function, it serves as a central design element that requires extreme dimensional precision and specialized finishing to ensure safety and aesthetic longevity.
Industrial Precision in Stair Fabrication
Stairs demand absolute consistency in rise and run dimensions to avoid installation failures and safety hazards. We process entire stair sets using Integrated Drilling & Automatic Chamfering machines. This ensures that every tread and riser in the project has a perfectly matched edge profile and thickness calibration.
For public and commercial staircases, we recommend Anti-Slip CNC Grooving. We carve 3 to 5 parallel lines into the front of the tread to provide a permanent, aesthetic traction surface that never wears away.
Grand Architectural Finishes
We provide a variety of edge profiles to match the architectural style of the build:
- Full Bullnose: A classic, safe rounded edge for residential homes.
- Mitered Apron: A 50mm-100mm drop edge that gives the appearance of a massive, monolithic stone block.
- Waterfall Ends: Slabs that continue the vein pattern from the tread down the side of the staircase.
Recommended Materials for Stairs
- Pietra Grey Marble - For a dark, dramatic modern staircase with high contrast.
- Fantasy Brown Dolomite - Combines the beauty of marble with superior hardness for high-traffic steps.
- Absolute Black Granite - The gold standard for durability and slip resistance in commercial environments.
The Dry-Lay Continuity Check
To ensure the veining follows the ascent of the stairs naturally, we perform a Dry-Lay (排版) Inspection for all premium marble stair projects. We lay out the entire set on our factory floor, ensuring the pattern flows seamlessly from the first step to the top landing before crating for export.
